20202310 13th Annual mentoring institute Conference

(United States)

MultiPOD's Principal Mentor and Program Coordinator, Fernando Zacarías, participated via Zoom in this scientific event and its pre-conference and post-conference workshops. The mission of the Mentoring Institute is the development, coordination and integration of evidence-based, effective practices of mentoring into research, consulting, and training activities through the application of instructional design standards, training and certification. In addition to new knowledge and networking opportunities, it was rewarding to learn that MultiPOD could be described as a unique initiative in international mentoring and as one of the largest and most diverse virtual mentoring programs. At the workshop on program design, implementation and evaluation, MultiPOD obtained a high score of 27/30 points and a recommendation to pay special attention to the matching of mentor-mentee dyads and a closer monitoring of the mentoring sessions.
